  • 1 (3-4 pound) chuck roast
  • 1 packet of dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet of dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1 packet of dry brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup water or beef broth

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Place the chuck roast in a roasting pan or a slow cooker.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the dry ranch dressing mix, dry Italian dressing mix, and dry brown gravy mix.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the roast, making sure to coat all sides.
  5. Pour the water or beef broth around the roast in the roasting pan or slow cooker.
  6. If using a roasting pan, cover it with a lid or foil. If using a slow cooker, cover it with the lid.
  7. Place the roast in the preheated oven or set the slow cooker to low heat.
  8. Cook the roast for about 6-8 hours in the oven or 8-10 hours in the slow cooker until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart.
  9. Once cooked, remove the roast from the oven or slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes.
  10. Shred the meat using two forks.
  11. If desired, you can strain the liquid from the roasting pan or slow cooker and serve it as a gravy with the shredded roast.
