Orange Creamsicle Fudge: A Sweet and Citrusy Delight

September 19, 2023 by BMA24

Orange Creamsicle Fudge is a delightful treat that captures the nostalgic flavors of the classic creamsicle ice cream. With its sweet and citrusy taste, this fudge is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Here’s how to make it at home.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (about 1 large orange)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Orange food coloring (optional)
  • Orange sprinkles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pan:

  • Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides. This will make it easier to remove the fudge later.

2. Melt the White Chocolate:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and butter.
  • Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate and butter are fully melted and smooth.

3. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk:

  • Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until well combined.

4. Add Orange Flavor:

  • Add the orange zest, freshly squeezed orange juice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Stir until everything is incorporated.

5. Add Food Coloring (Optional):

  • If you want a more vibrant orange color, add a few drops of orange food coloring and mix until the desired color is achieved. This step is optional but adds to the creamsicle appearance.

6. Pour into the Pan:

  • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.

7. Garnish (Optional):

  • If desired, sprinkle orange sprinkles on top of the fudge to add a fun and decorative touch.

8. Chill:

  • Place the pan in the refrigerator and let the fudge set for at least 4 hours or overnight.

9. Cut into Squares:

  • Once the fudge is completely set, use the parchment paper overhangs to lift it out of the pan.
  • Place it on a cutting board and cut it into squares or your desired shapes.

10. Serve and Enjoy:

  • Your Orange Creamsicle Fudge is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it as a sweet treat or package it as a homemade gift.

Every bite of this Orange Creamsicle Fudge contains a burst of citrusy sweetness. It’s an ideal summer dessert or anytime you crave the classic flavors of an orange creamsicle.
