This dessert, a lovely and refreshing Southern Strawberry Punch Bowl Cake, is ideal for any kind of party. In a punch bowl, layers of tender cake, smooth filling, and succulent strawberries combine to create a visually stunning and delectable dessert that is guaranteed to wow.

๐Ÿ“‹ Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • ๐Ÿฐ 1 box yellow cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box: eggs, oil, water)
  • ๐Ÿ“ 2 pounds fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • ๐Ÿฌ 1/4 cup granulated sugar

For the Cream Filling:

  • ๐Ÿซ 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • ๐Ÿฅ› 2 cups cold milk
  • ๐Ÿฅ› 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ๐Ÿฅ› 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed (such as Cool Whip)

๐Ÿ“ Directions:

1๏ธโƒฃ Bake the Cake: Prepare and bake the yellow cake mix according to the package instructions. Allow the cake to cool completely, then cut it into cubes.

2๏ธโƒฃ Prepare the Strawberries: In a large bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with the granulated sugar. Let them sit for about 30 minutes to macerate and release their juices.

3๏ธโƒฃ Prepare the Cream Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Add the sweetened condensed milk and mix until well combined. Gently fold in the whipped topping until smooth.

4๏ธโƒฃ Assemble the Cake:

  • In a large punch bowl or trifle dish, arrange a layer of cake cubes on the bottom.
  • Spoon a layer of the cream filling over the cake cubes.
  • Top with a layer of the macerated strawberries and their juices.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cream filling and a few strawberries for garnish on top.

5๏ธโƒฃ Chill: Cover the punch bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
