Indulge in this rich and delicious Creamy Shrimp and Crab Spinach Dip! Perfect for parties, gatherings, or a cozy night in, this dip combines tender shrimp, sweet crab meat, and fresh spinach in a creamy, cheesy base.

๐Ÿ“‹ Ingredients:

  • ๐Ÿฆ 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • ๐Ÿฆ€ 1/2 lb lump crab meat
  • ๐ŸŒฟ 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • ๐Ÿง… 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • ๐Ÿง„ 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ๐Ÿงˆ 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ๐Ÿฅ› 1 cup heavy cream
  • ๐Ÿง€ 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ๐Ÿง€ 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ๐Ÿฅ„ 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ๐ŸŒฟ 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • ๐Ÿง‚ 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ๐ŸŒฟ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • ๐Ÿ‹ 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ๐ŸŒฟ 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

๐Ÿ“ Directions:

1๏ธโƒฃ Prepare the Seafood:

  • In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the crab meat and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside with the shrimp.

2๏ธโƒฃ Cook the Vegetables:

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter.
  • Add the finely chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.

3๏ธโƒฃ Make the Creamy Base:

  • Reduce the heat to low and add the cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until melted and combined with the spinach mixture.
  • Gradually pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Add the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, stirring until melted and well combined.

4๏ธโƒฃ Combine and Season:

  • Add the cooked shrimp and crab meat to the creamy spinach mixture.
  • Stir in the paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix until everything is well combined and heated through.

5๏ธโƒฃ Serve:

  • Transfer the dip to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
  • Serve warm with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables.

  • For a spicier dip, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half and use reduced-fat cream cheese.
