These Creamy Crab Stuffed Mushrooms are an elegant and delicious appetizer, perfect for any special occasion or gathering. Filled with a rich and savory crab mixture, these mushrooms are sure to impress your guests.

πŸ“‹ Ingredients:

  • πŸ„ 16 large white or cremini mushrooms, stems removed and finely chopped
  • πŸ¦€ 8 oz lump crab meat, picked over for shells
  • πŸ§€ 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • πŸ§€ 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • πŸ§… 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • πŸ§„ 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 🌿 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 🧈 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • πŸ§‚ 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • πŸ‹ 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 🌿 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)
  • πŸ§‚ Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 🌿 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 🧈 1 tablespoon melted butter (for topping)

πŸ“ Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  1. Prepare the Mushrooms:
  • Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Finely chop the stems and set aside.
  1. Cook the Filling:
  • In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and chopped mushroom stems, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms release their moisture and the garlic is fragrant.
  • Stir in the cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning (if using), salt, and black pepper. Cook until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • Remove from heat and gently fold in the lump crab meat and chopped parsley.
  1. Stuff the Mushrooms:
  • Spoon the crab mixture into the mushroom caps, pressing gently to fill them well.
  1. Prepare the Topping:
  • In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs with 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture evenly over the stuffed mushrooms.
  1. Bake:
  • Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
  1. Serve:
  • Allow the stuffed mushrooms to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired.
