๐Ÿฅช๐Ÿ‡ Sausage and Egg Sandwich with Grape Jelly ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฅช

July 7, 2024 by BMA24

This Sausage and Egg Sandwich with Grape Jelly is a delightful twist on the classic breakfast sandwich. The combination of savory sausage, creamy eggs, and sweet grape jelly creates a perfect balance of flavors that will make your morning extra special.

๐Ÿ“‹ Ingredients:

  • ๐Ÿž 4 slices of your favorite bread (brioche, sourdough, or English muffins work well)
  • ๐Ÿณ 4 large eggs
  • ๐Ÿ– 4 breakfast sausage patties
  • ๐Ÿงˆ 2 tablespoons butter
  • ๐Ÿง‚ Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ๐Ÿ‡ 4 tablespoons grape jelly
  • ๐Ÿง€ 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or Swiss)

๐Ÿ“ Directions:

  1. Cook the Sausage Patties:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage patties until they are browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  1. Prepare the Eggs:
  • In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, or scrambled). Season with salt and black pepper. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  1. Toast the Bread:
  • Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet over medium heat. Toast the bread slices in the skillet until golden brown on both sides.
  1. Assemble the Sandwiches:
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of grape jelly on each slice of toasted bread.
  • Place a slice of cheese on one side of each sandwich.
  • Add a sausage patty on top of the cheese.
  • Place the cooked egg on top of the sausage patty.
  • Top with the other slice of bread, jelly side down.
  1. Serve:
  • Serve the sandwiches warm and enjoy!

๐Ÿ’ก Notes:

  • For a spicier version, you can add a dash of hot sauce to the eggs or use a spicy breakfast sausage.
  • This sandwich pairs well with a side of fresh fruit or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
  • Feel free to customize your sandwich with additional toppings such as avocado, spinach, or tomato slices.
