These Cheesy Garlic Green Beans are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that combines fresh green beans with a rich, cheesy, and garlicky flavor. Perfect for any meal, this dish will be a hit with everyone at the table.

  • πŸ₯— 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • πŸ§„ 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 🧈 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • πŸ§€ 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • πŸ§€ 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 🌿 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • πŸ§‚ Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • πŸ‹ Optional: lemon wedges for serving

πŸ“ Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  1. Blanch the Green Beans:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and just tender.
  • Drain the green beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and pat dry.
  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  1. Combine the Ingredients:
  • Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss to coat them in the garlic butter. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Transfer the green beans to a baking dish.
  1. Add the Cheese:
  • Sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese evenly over the green beans.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  1. Serve:
  • Serve the cheesy garlic green beans hot, with lemon wedges on the side if desired.
