These Rotel Sausage & Cream Cheese Crescents are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. The combination of spicy sausage, creamy cheese, and flaky crescent rolls makes for an irresistible treat.

📋 Ingredients:

  • 🌭 1 pound breakfast sausage (spicy or regular)
  • 🧀 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 🍅 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
  • 🥐 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 🌿 Optional: chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish

📝 Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  1. Cook the Sausage:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  1. Prepare the Filling:
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and drained Rotel tomatoes. Mix until well combined.
  1. Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place the triangles on the prepared baking sheet.
  1. Fill and Roll:
  • Spoon a tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle.
  • Starting at the wide end, roll up each triangle, tucking the ends under to seal. Place the filled crescents seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and cooked through.
  1. Garnish and Serve:
  • If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions.
