July 25, 2024 by BMA24

This Easy Fruit Cobbler is a simple yet delicious dessert that can be made with any of your favorite fruits. Itโ€™s perfect for a quick and comforting treat.

๐Ÿ“‹ Ingredients:

  • ๐Ÿ‘ 4 cups fresh or frozen fruit (such as peaches, berries, apples, or a mix)
  • ๐Ÿฌ 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • ๐Ÿฅ„ 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ๐ŸŒพ 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ๐Ÿฅ„ 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ๐Ÿง‚ 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ๐Ÿฅ› 1 cup milk
  • ๐Ÿงˆ 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • ๐ŸŒฟ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

๐Ÿ“ Directions:

Prepare the Fruit:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9ร—13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix Fruit and Sugar:
In a large bowl, combine the fruit, 1/2 cup of the granulated sugar, and the lemon juice. Stir well and set aside.

Prepare the Batter:

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, the remaining 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients:
Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy, which is fine.

Assemble the Cobbler:

  1. Pour Batter:
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. Add Fruit:
Spoon the fruit mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir; the batter will rise around the fruit as it bakes.

Bake:

  1. Bake Cobbler:
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Serve:

  1. Cool Slightly:
Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve Warm:
Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
