When Grasshopper first entered the home of his foster family, it was clear he was a little different. His high-stepping gait and slight lack of coordination made him stand out from the other cats they had fostered. But what he lacked in coordination, he made up for in personality.
As his foster parent recalls, “I noticed that there was something unique about him right away. He was a bit more uncoordinated than the other fosters we’ve had.” Despite this, Grasshopper was just as playful and affectionate as any other cat, and his foster family quickly fell in love with him.
After taking him to the vet, they learned that Grasshopper had a condition that caused his wobbly movements. But as his foster parent explains, “Heβs just like any other normal cat. It just means heβs a little wobbly.”
Not long after arriving, Grasshopper formed an inseparable bond with the familyβs one-year-old dog, Hippo. The two became fast friends, always playing and cuddling together. Their bond grew stronger with each passing week, and soon enough, Grasshopper became an official member of the family.
This wobbly but lovable cat has found his forever home, proving that a little difference doesn’t stop anyone from being loved. Grasshopper may walk with a high step, but he’s stepping right into the hearts of his family every day.
