These Oatmeal Double Chocolate Chip Cookies are the perfect combination of chewy oats and rich, chocolatey goodness. Packed with cocoa and chocolate chips, they’re a sweet treat that’s both comforting and indulgent. Ideal for any cookie lover!

📋 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 🧈
  • 1 cup brown sugar 🍬
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar 🍬
  • 2 large eggs 🥚
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🌿
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 🌾
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 🍫
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda 🌿
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 🧂
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats 🌾
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 🍫
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips 🍫 (optional for extra sweetness)

📝 Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

2. Cream the Butter and Sugars:

  1. Mix wet ingredients:
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes using a hand mixer or stand mixer.
  1. Add eggs and vanilla:
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

3. Add the Dry Ingredients:

  1. Mix dry ingredients:
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  1. Combine wet and dry:
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

4. Add Oats and Chocolate Chips:

  1. Fold in oats and chocolate chips:
  • Stir in the rolled oats, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips (if using), making sure everything is evenly distributed.

5. Shape the Cookies:

  1. Form dough balls:
  • Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop 2-tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

6. Bake:

  1. Bake:
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft. They will continue to firm up as they cool.

7. Cool and Serve:

  1. Cool:
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  1. Enjoy:
  • Serve these Oatmeal Double Chocolate Chip Cookies with a glass of cold milk or a hot cup of coffee and enjoy the rich, chocolatey flavor!
