For the Cake:

  • 🍎 3 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great)
  • 🍞 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • πŸ₯„ 1 tsp baking soda
  • πŸ§‚ 1/2 tsp salt
  • πŸ₯„ 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • πŸ₯„ 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • πŸ₯„ 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 🧈 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • πŸ₯„ 1 cup granulated sugar
  • πŸ₯„ 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • πŸ₯š 3 large eggs
  • πŸ₯› 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • πŸ₯„ 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Caramel Sauce:

  • 🧈 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • πŸ₯„ 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • πŸ₯› 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • πŸ₯„ 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • πŸ§‚ Pinch of salt

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan or spray it with nonstick baking spray.

Step 2: Combine Dry Ingredients

2️⃣ In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Step 3: Cream Butter & Sugars

3️⃣ In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

Step 4: Add Eggs & Vanilla

4️⃣ Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 5: Combine Wet & Dry

5️⃣ Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Mix until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.

Step 6: Bake the Cake

6️⃣ Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7️⃣ Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 7: Make the Caramel Sauce

8️⃣ In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and heavy cream, whisking until smooth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

Step 8: Drizzle & Serve

9️⃣ Place the cooled cake on a serving platter. Drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the top of the cake, letting it cascade down the sides.
