This Beef Stew is packed with flavor, featuring tender beef, rich broth, and perfectly cooked vegetables. It’s a comfort food classic that’s both hearty and satisfying!


πŸ›’ Ingredients:

  • πŸ₯© 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
  • πŸ§‚ 1 tsp salt

  • πŸ₯„ ΒΌ cup all-purpose flour
  • 🧈 2 tbsp olive oil
  • πŸ₯• 3 carrots, sliced
  • πŸ₯” 4 medium potatoes, cubed
  • πŸ§… 1 large onion, chopped
  • πŸ§„ 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • πŸ… 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 🍷 1 cup red wine (optional, for deeper flavor)
  • 🍲 4 cups beef broth
  • 🌿 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • πŸ§‚ 1 tsp paprika
  • πŸƒ 1 bay leaf
  • 🌿 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

πŸ”₯ Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare the Beef

  1. In a bowl, season beef cubes with salt and pepper.
  2. Coat the beef with flour for a better sear and thicker sauce.

2️⃣ Sear the Meat

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown the beef cubes on all sides (about 5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the Vegetables

  1. In the same pot, sautΓ© onions, garlic, and carrots for 5 minutes.
  2. Add tomato paste and stir until fragrant.

4️⃣ Build the Stew

  1. Deglaze the pot with red wine (optional).
  2. Add the seared beef back into the pot, along with potatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, and bay leaf.

5️⃣ Simmer to Perfection

  1. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to low and cover.
  2. Simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender.

6️⃣ Serve & Garnish

  • Remove the bay leaf and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
