🍲 Grandma’s Ground Beef Chow Mein Casserole: A Cozy Family Classic!

This Ground Beef Chow Mein Casserole is a comforting, hearty dish packed with savory beef, crunchy chow mein noodles, and a creamy sauce. Perfect for weeknight dinners and bringing back grandma’s home-cooked flavors! 🥡🥢

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 🥩 Ground beef – 500g (1 lb)
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, diced
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • 🥕 Celery – 1 cup, sliced
  • 🥦 Mushrooms – 1 cup, sliced
  • 🥫 Cream of mushroom soup – 1 can (400g)
  • 🥛 Milk – ½ cup
  • 🥢 Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
  • 🌿 Worcestershire sauce – 1 tbsp
  • 🛢️ Olive oil – 1 tbsp
  • 🧂 Salt & Pepper – to taste
  • 🍜 Chow mein noodles – 2 cups

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.

2️⃣ Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.

3️⃣ Sauté the Veggies: Add celery and mushrooms, cooking for 5 minutes until softened.

4️⃣ Make the Sauce: Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

5️⃣ Assemble the Casserole: Spread half of the chow mein noodles in the baking dish. Pour the beef mixture over the top. Sprinkle remaining noodles on top.

6️⃣ Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until crispy.

7️⃣ Serve & Enjoy: Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm! 😋
