For the Wontons:

  • 🐷 Β½ lb ground beef
  • 🍀 ΒΌ lb raw shrimp, finely chopped

  • 🌿 2 green onions, finely chopped

  • πŸ₯„ 1 tsp sesame oil

For the Broth:

  • 🍜 6 cups chicken broth

  • 🌱 Β½ cup baby bok choy or spinach (optional)

1️⃣ Make the Wonton Filling:
In a bowl, mix ground beef, shrimp, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, white pepper, and salt until well combined.

2️⃣ Assemble the Wontons:

  • Place 1 tsp filling in the center of a wonton wrapper.
  • Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges.
  • Fold into a triangle, pressing edges to seal.
  • Bring the two corners together and pinch to form a classic wonton shape.

3️⃣ Prepare the Broth:
In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add garlic and green onions, sautΓ©ing for 30 seconds. Pour in chicken broth, soy sauce, and white pepper. Bring to a simmer.

4️⃣ Cook the Wontons:
Drop wontons into the simmering broth and cook for 3-5 minutes, until they float to the top. Add bok choy or spinach and simmer for 1 more minute.
