๐ง What Youโll Need:
- 4 candles (used or new โ any kind)
- 1 tsp ground coffee
- 1โ2 tbsp cloves
- Old wicks (from the melted candles)
- A heat-safe container (glass or metal, not plastic)
- A pot for melting
- A stick or skewer (to position the wick)
๐ง Step-by-Step Instructions:
๐น Step 1: Melt the Candles
Place the 4 candles in a pot over low heat and let them melt completely.

Save the old wicks โ youโll reuse one!
๐น Step 2: Prep the Container
Pour the melted wax into a heatproof container (jar, cup, or tin).
๐ Do not use plastic.
๐น Step 3: Add Cloves
Sprinkle in a generous amount of cloves. Clove contains eugenol, a natural mosquito and fly repellent. ๐ฟ
๐น Step 4: Add Coffee
Add 1 teaspoon of ground coffee and stir well.
โ The scent of coffee blends beautifully with clove and helps neutralize bad odors.
๐น Step 5: Insert the Wick
Secure the wick (saved from earlier) using a stick across the top of the container.
Position it right in the center and let the wax cool and harden โ about 15โ30 minutes.
๐น Step 6: Trim & Light
Once the candle has solidified, remove the stick and trim the wick to ยฝ inch.
