A fresh, bold twist on steak night β€” juicy grilled flank steak with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and a balsamic glaze you’ll want to drizzle on everything!


πŸ“ Ingredients

For the steak:

  • 1½–2 lbs flank steak
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

For the Caprese topping:

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved or whole
  • 1 cup mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • Β½ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • ΒΌ cup balsamic glaze

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ Instructions

1️⃣ Marinate the steak
In a zip-top bag or bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).

2️⃣ Grill the steak
Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Grill steak about 5–6 minutes per side (medium rare) or until desired doneness. Rest for 10 minutes, then slice against the grain.

3️⃣ Arrange the Caprese
On a platter, layer steak slices. Surround with tomatoes and mozzarella, then sprinkle fresh basil over everything.

4️⃣ Finish with flair
Drizzle balsamic glaze generously over the top. Serve warm or at room temperature.
