🥩 Beef Tenderloin Crostini with Parmesan Cream Sauce

Perfectly seared beef tenderloin served over crisp crostini and drizzled with a warm, creamy parmesan sauce — a bite-sized masterpiece!


📝 Ingredients

For the beef:

  • 1 lb beef tenderloin, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder or minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

For the crostini:

  • 1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or garlic butter for brushing

For the Parmesan cream sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg or squeeze of lemon juice

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the crostini
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush baguette slices with oil or garlic butter. Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp. Set aside.

2️⃣ Sear and roast the beef
Season tenderloin all over with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary. Sear in hot skillet with olive oil until browned on all sides. Transfer to oven and roast at 400°F (200°C) for about 12–15 minutes for medium rare. Rest 10 minutes, then slice thin.

3️⃣ Make the Parmesan cream sauce
In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in flour to form a roux. Gradually whisk in cream. Simmer gently, then stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg or lemon juice.

4️⃣ Assemble the crostini
Top each toasted baguette slice with a slice of beef tenderloin. Drizzle with warm Parmesan cream sauce and garnish with herbs or cracked pepper.


💡 Tips

  • Use a meat thermometer: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare perfection.
  • Want more flair? Add a layer of horseradish cream, balsamic glaze, or caramelized onions before topping with beef.
  • Make sauce ahead and reheat gently over low heat.
