Creamy Nutella sponge roll

250 g mascarpone cheese
250 g cream
100 g powdered sugar
150 g Nutella
300 g sponge cookies
100 ml milk
20 g sugar (to sweeten milk)
10 g cocoa powder
One teaspoon vanilla or vanilla sugar

How to make the creamy Nutella sponge roll?

Whip the cream, slowly adding the sifted powdered sugar and a spoonful of vanilla or vanilla sugar. Add the mascarpone cream, previously softened with a spoon. Mix with a spatula.

Lightly moisten cookies with milk. Place on a sheet of cling film to form a rectangle measuring approx. 15cm x 20-25cm. Place the cream and mascarpone in the center. Add a little Nutella on top and cover with another layer of cream. Gently form a roll using the cling film. Seal the sides with the film and place the roll in a cake tin of the same size.
Leave the cake in the freezer for three to four hours. Before serving, cut into slices and, if too frozen, leave at room temperature for 2-3 minutes. For a gourmet topping, add cocoa or Nutella to each slice.
