Honey Garlic Shrimp

Scrumptiously sticky and juicy honey garlic shrimp recipe that’s so tasty and easy to make.

  • 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Add the honey, soy sauce, and garlic to a medium bowl. The shrimp will be marinated in half of this and cooked in the other half. Put the shrimp and half of the marinade in a sizable ziplock bag.

Seal the bag after removing as much air as you can. Place in the fridge for at least 15 minutes and as much as 10 hours. When ready, pour the olive oil into a large skillet. The shrimp should be cooked for 45 seconds on one side in the skillet.

After adding the remaining marinade and turning the shrimp over, cook for one or two minutes. Add a garnish of finely chopped green onion on top before serving over a portion of brown rice.

Enjoy the honey garlic shrimp’s sweet and savory flavors! When paired with your favorite side dishes, it makes an excellent appetizer or main course.
