Classic Cherry Delight is a nostalgic and delicious dessert that features layers of sweet cherry filling, creamy cheesecake-like filling, and a buttery crumb crust. Here’s a recipe to guide you in making this delightful treat:

7 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 9 whole crackers)
3 tablespoons granulated sugar

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 container cool whip, 8 ounces
1 can cherry pie filling, 21 ounces

Butter should be put in a medium bowl. until melted, 30 seconds in the microwave. Graham cracker crumbs and sugar should be combined after being added. Put the crumb mixture in the bottom of an 8 x 8 baking dish that has been sprayed. Place aside.

To a big bowl, add the cream cheese. Use a mixer to blend the cream cheese until it is completely lump-free. Mix well after adding the vanilla and powdered sugar. Don’t overmix; just mix until the cool whip and cream cheese are combined after adding the cool whip.

Using a spoon or offset spatula, spread the filling evenly over the graham cracker crust. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the top by carefully spooning it on.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. I like to leave it overnight.
Refrigerate leftovers.

Classic Cherry Delight is a crowd-pleaser that’s ideal for parties or special occasions. Its creamy and fruity flavor combination will satisfy your sweet tooth.
