Pillowy Doughnut

Pillowy doughnuts, also known as yeast-raised doughnuts, are light, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth treats that are fried to perfection and dusted or glazed with sugar. Here’s a recipe to help you make your own pillowy doughnuts:

Ingredients:

500g Flour

1 tbsp Yeast

100g Sugar

1/2 tsp milk flavor

Pinch of Nutmeg

Pinch of salt

1 tbsp of butter.

2 cups of lukewarm water

Directions:

In a small container, proof the yeast, and set it aside. Mix the flour, salt, flavor, nutmeg, and sugar thoroughly in a sizable bowl.

Add proofed yeast and melted butter. Add 500ml of lukewarm water and thoroughly combine with the flour mixture. Knead them thoroughly until they are as elastic and smooth as bread dough. After that, place the dough in an airtight container and let it rise for an hour.

Cut the dough into various sizes and shape it into a disc with your hands an hour later. Before frying, let rise for about 30 minutes.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the food, and fry over low heat until it turns light brown. Remove from oil when done.

Please keep in mind that these doughnuts are best eaten the day they are made. They can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for a day or two, but their texture may change over time.
