Milk Brioche Rolls are soft, buttery, and incredibly delicious. These fluffy rolls are ideal for breakfast, brunch, or as a side dish at dinner. Made with milk and butter, they have a rich flavor and tender texture that will keep everyone coming back for more. Follow this simple recipe to make your own Milk Brioche Rolls that will elevate any meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F/45°C)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • Additional melted butter for brushing (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Activate the Yeast:
  • In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until the mixture becomes frothy.
  1. Mix the Dough:
  • In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook attachment, combine the flour and salt.
  • Add the frothy yeast mixture and eggs to the flour mixture. Mix on low speed until the dough starts to come together.
  • Add the softened butter, one tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition. Continue mixing until a soft and sticky dough forms.
  1. Knead the Dough:
  • If using a stand mixer, knead the dough on medium speed for about 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. If kneading by hand, turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10-12 minutes.
  • Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  1. Shape the Rolls:
  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release the air. Turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  • Shape each piece of dough into a smooth ball and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spacing them evenly apart.
  1. Second Rise:
  • Cover the baking dish with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let the rolls rise for another 30-45 minutes, or until they have doubled in size.
  1. Preheat the Oven:
  • While the rolls are rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  1. Bake the Rolls:
  • Once the rolls have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  • If desired, brush the warm rolls with melted butter for extra flavor and shine.
  1. Serve and Enjoy:
  • Serve the Milk Brioche Rolls warm or at room temperature. Enjoy them plain or with your favorite spreads such as butter, jam, or honey.
